About the event

This two-day course provides public safety professionals with comprehensive training in the operational use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). THIS IS FOR PUBLIC SAFETY AGENCIES ONLY. Students will cover FAA regulations, mission planning, airspace coordination, risk management, and public safety–specific tactics for law enforcement, fire, EMS, SAR, and disaster response. The course emphasizes real-world operations, decision-making, and best practices through scenario-based discussions and practical exercises, preparing agencies to safely deploy UAS in support of emergency response and critical incidents. The course is made up of classroom and practical evolutions. Please bring your agency's drones if available. The practical evolutions will cover: SAR, Thermography, Tactical Operations, Mapping, Payload delivery, and more. Its designed for the new public safety pilot, as well as current team members to refine their skills. Its taught by seasoned UAS team leaders and focusses on lessons learned.
